Greg L. Alford, Founding Partner of PEACHTREE CONSULTING GROUP (1986) and PEACHTREE COFFEE GROUP (2012), has extensive marketing experiences in the area of new product and new business development.  During his corporate career, he served as Director of New Products for WEYERHAEUSER COMPANY’s Building Products Division and later accepted the challenge as Vice President of the new product and new business development programs for CLOSETMAID.  He established and managed their new product design center which created numerous home organization products and a totally new commercial food service shelving business.

Mr. Alford is known for his marketing insight, product development acumen and vision in the broad area of new business development.  In addition to his single client advisory work, he has penned twenty-five multi-client sponsored marketing studies covering a diverse mix of consumer products.  The list includes upscale major appliances, outdoor cooking systems, coffee makers, espresso machines, blenders, toasters, food processors and all types of kitchen organization products.

Mr. Alford has been actively involved in the Specialty Coffee Industry since 1994 when he conducted a project to develop a gourmet coffee cart business for a food service industry client.  He is a “home barista” who has made over five thousand espresso based drinks in addition to preparing gourmet coffee for his church every week.  He also attends the SCAA and COFFEE FEST shows to stay current on industry trends, coffee and the brewing equipment suited to discriminating coffee and espresso enthusiasts.

Mr. Alford was graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. Degree in Industrial Management and from Georgia College with an M.B.A. Degree.
